Flagerjord
In "Multimodal Polyphony: Analysis of a Flash Documentary" Fagerjord points out how advertisements use a mixture of examining, revealing, pointing, and contextualizing to present his point. One example of how these things are used can be seen in "Taken 2" movie trailer. The commercial uses examining at :07 seconds by panning over the father's face. I could not find any revealing panoramas. At :10 pointing is used by zooming in on the car. Although this is very quick it adds to the intensity and the choppiness of the video. The 2 getting smaller at the beginning of the video is called contextualizing. This is basically zooming out.
